    Hello:
I lost the software disc for this mouse which has many features in center button, one of which is MAGNIFYING .
I tried the mouse on this XP 'puter and it works as a 2 button mouse, but center button is dead. I hoped 'puter would say "new hardware detected ",and find driver but it did not.
Memorex does not have software online or otherwise.(i called them up)They also can not tell me if it will work on XP
I did a general search, one site brought up a driver detective which i never heard of and don't know what it does.So i did not download that.
another site,(CD Net/download.com) switches me to Memorex
I believe i tried Tucows also but not sure now.

The computer is using the default mouse driver in XP - you might look in Control Panel > Mouse - there may be an applet there for designating the mouse buttons, but I rather doubt it.

Seems to me that the software is not compatible with XP.

    Memorex 3202-2362 scrolling mouse

I went to Control Panel, there is a 'tab "/applet for wheel ,but that is for present mouse.i even looked in Win 98 Puter that works on Dial-up only to see if driver there.
The feature i wanted was magnifying glass
I have 3 sets of "95 on floppy disks,DOS 6.02 floppy, a start up disk for a Compaq LTE425 laptop that died 5 years ago, i really am a string saver, so i do NOT understand where that software went.
I was hopin a BBS reader would have same mouse and could e~mail or otherwise send/lend me a driver.....

Have you tried the Windows one?
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Accessibility -> Magnifier

Drivers for the button will be one thing. Software to run it as a magnifier will be another. Win 2000 drivers are probably the closest to Win XP. I don't think you will have much luck with pre-Win 2000 drivers.

sorry Mattman, That one is unacceptable to me, it that moves 20 icons around and is all the way across screen. The one on mouse was small and could "pinpoint" things
    thanks for trying

I think it is time to accept that there is no software available for that particular mouse in XP.

By Jove, you could be right as far as downloading, but if a good Chap who visits here could lend me his cd!!!!!
Obviously Memorex does not support it
