Some pages show the restricted site icon on the bottom right margin of a web page. What does this mean, & should I be worried?

It means that the webpage you are viewing contains some potential harmful content, and falls under you restricted security settings. You can vew this setting by choosing tools/internetoptions/security.
Whenever you see the restricted icon it means the security settings set under your settings are in effect.

    Hope this helps

You don't normally see that unless you have specifically added a site to the restricted section in Internet Options.
Note: The minus sign on a gray, unappetizing cookie I guess that's what it is) just indicates a blocked cookie as specified in your privacy options, and not a restricted site.

Thanks...that;s what I thought ...I get a the restricted icon displayed when I'm vieweing this page & it certainly is NOT in my restricted site list.

I only have *doubleclick *servedby & 2 others in my restricted list.

What else might cause this to appear? I think I may have some bad cookies in my computer that are causing htis to happen, but don't know how to get rid of them.

Clearly this (& other sites) are NOT a security risk.

I have run Adaware & deleted all the offensive items listed. I also run N2002 daily, as I am online 24/7 on DSL.

Double click that icon and it will reveal all you want to know. If you follow through from the first screen, it will expand on what is happening and how your settings determine that. I get the same thing and I think it's because the BBS has no privacy policy that satisfies the Medium security setting. I doubt that you have any problem, I just ignore it since it doesn't cause any problem that I know of.

Right click the listed blocked cookie and select to allow it.

Mine has always worked that way too so that's why I hesitated to tell you that you could elect to accept that cookie. It promises but has never delivered for me. I am glad to find that I'm not being singled out. Welcome to the club.
