I'm trying to upgrade my camera, but can't seem to find anything that fits my minimum specs, to-wit:

    1. Size - Compact
    2. Viewfinder - Optical or electronic
    3. Zoom - 8x or more
    4. Image stabilization
    5. SD memory card
    6. AA batteries, or Lithium-ion w/ charger
    7. Flash - built-in or pop-up

I've tried a number of side-by-side comparison sites to no avail. Anybody have first hand knowledge of what I'm looking for?

The Canon SX 100, and the newer SX 110, do not have viewfinders.

    Hi Davott,
I'll keep that in mind, I've got a Pentax Optio60 at the moment & it can be a bit hungry for battery power so I turn the screen off & use the view finder a fair bit.
    regards Jac
