I have a wireless printer that my xp desktop and xp laptop connect to wirelessly through a wireless router. Both computers have the full installation from the printer disk. I have recently brushed the cobwebs off a 98se desktop for the kids to use for school. This computer is connected wired directly to the wireless router. I can no longer find the disk for the printer to install the necessary components, and the driver on the website only gives me options for windows 2000 or greater. Is there a way I can connect through the network using the xp desktop or am i just wishful thinking?

    yes - two ways

    1) set up the printer as a network printer with the printer software
xp computer has to be running
install printer software ( normally) in the 98 computer
you have made your xp computer into a print server
    2) buy a print server which is a stand alone product
