    Hi,

I am using Outlook Express 6 Year 2004 version.

My problem is related to when ever I send out mails.

The mail keeps on showing sitting in the OUTBOX but actually it has been sent out.

I have to manually delete the email from OUTBOX to avoid duplication of mails received at the other end.

What cud be the reason and any remedy please ?

    Ted

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Your Outbox.dbx file could be corrupt.

You can delete it and it'll get recreated next time you send a mail.

    Thanks Steve.

I deleted the outbox.dbx for this email identity.

However the problem still remains. There is no specific error message as well.

Sent Items may also have been corrupted.

Open Outlook Express, create a new Local Folder and name it Sent Items Temp. Go to Sent Items and drag all the emails you want to preserve to the new Sent Items Temp folder then close Outlook Express.

Using Explorer navigate to your store folder and delete Sent Items.dbx. Open Outlook Express and a new, empty Sent Items will be created by Windows.

Go to Sent Items Temp and drag all the emails to Sent Items then right-click and delete the Sent Items Temp folder that you created.

Thanks Burr. The problem was solved.

Today I received the following Error message.

The connection to the server has failed. Account: '****', Server: '*******', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Could someone suggest the possible solution to deal with this error ?
