On a Sony VAIO with XP as my O/S I get good wireless connections but the wireless icon in the systems tray shows not connected and when I look for available wireless networks it shows none available. Meanwhile there is NO trouble getting and using a wireless connection. What's the fix?
    Thanks
    Harold

Also you need to put in a more technical set up to the problem. Tell things like who's drivers are you using, what version, also what build windows you have (ie. SP0, SP1, SP2, SP3,.......) That will go along way in being able to tell if it needs to be fixed or even how to fix it. You don't have to listen to me, just friendly advice.

    Hi Harold,

Do you by chance have more than 1 wireless adapter/connection? Are you using a third party wireless connection manager, or is Windows handling it?
