[Desktop icons sometimes take a long time to appear on startup]

    I have windows PC -P3 -5oo MHz processor and 395 mb of ram and 4o GB HDD.It sometme takes too long for the desk top icons to appear on the desktop even when the back ground screen and task bar appears promptly.It never happens always but only some times.can some one help me trouble shoot this problem once for all.
