Currently, I am working from a company computer which is capable of running on different domains. When I boot the computer, I am prompted to enter a user name, password, and domain name in order to log on. I would like to be able have the computer log on automatically after each time the computer is turned on. I understand that there is an option in the control panel >> User Accounts for doing this. However, I do not have that option. Instead, I have been working along with my company administrator to change the computer’s registry. I have a slight understanding for how to do this and have taken the steps to backup the current registry. The method we have been trying is to enter the Registry Editor and set the Default Username, Password, and Domain name. To my understanding, the last step is switching the AutoAdminLogon to "1" or ON. The problem is I don’t want to logon as Administrator. I would like to logon using my username and password. I understand that the AutoAdminLogon can be bypassed by holding the Shift key after log out and upon windows startup, but I would like the process done with NO user work at all, automatically. Does anyone have any ideas how I can bypass the AutoAdminLogon option?

The problem has been solved. I gave the user account that I wanted to automatically logon Administrator priviledges from the Control Panel >> Users Account menu. Then I went into the Windows Registry Editor and set the default username, password, and domain to the user account that I wanted to logon automatically.
