    Hi Marvin,

I'll be glad to do that. Just now getting to the Internet, so give me a little time to answer my email and I'll give you a run through!

    Shown 'N Tell Time!

    Hi Marvin,

I just put up screen shots of the entire "Custom" installation of Netscape 7.0 Final, for the benefit of all who are adventurous.

    Installing Netscape 7.0

It takes a bit of time to load, for those without broadband.

Thanks, Again for all of your help!!!

:D Ramona, Many, Many thanks for all of your help. You have helped me in the past and once again your are not letting me down.

I do not have the NS6's or the 7PR on my computer.I have NS 4.79 and Mozilla 1.0. Installing NS7 on my computer should not have any effect on these two browsers, should it? I am downloading it now from the FTP site, but will take a couple of days to get it.

    Marvin

P.S.: In the past when I installed NS4.79 you gave me some files to delete. From the info you posted for an install of 7 it appears that I get the option to not even install some of these things. I will have to study what you have posted before I begin my custom install of 7.

    Hi Marv,

Delighted that I can be of help with your Netscape dilemmas.

I have NS 4.79 and Mozilla 1.0. Installing NS7 on my computer should not have any effect on these two browsers, should it? I am downloading it now from the FTP site, but will take a couple of days to get it.

The three will reside happily ever after IF you use a unique Profile for Netscape 7.0. Netscape 7.0 and Mozilla 1.0 share MOZVER.DAT (the file that stores your Profile data). Sharing the same Profile could cause serious problems.

"Days" sound about right on your download. My DUN connection rate leaves a lot to be desired.

"Clean Install Guidelines for Netscape 4.79 have all that information on which files to be deleted. :)

    BTW check your PM.

    Ramona :D

    Ramona, help me!

You seem to be the expert here.
I have Mozilla 1 and N/S6.2 running and they both seem to be missing some features.
    (Win98SE)

For example, N/S 6.2, cannot delete & move bookmarks under "Manage." When I go to "View" menu the selections are grayed out. (not grayed out in Mozilla) I have uninstalled/re-installed N/S 6.2, still the same.

Mozilla doesn't have the password manager (N/S 6.2 does). This is a handy feature when you visit sites and the password is automatically filled in for you.

Mozilla doesn't have AOL buddy chat (N/S does) and I can't seem to get the IRC chat loaded. Get an error message each time: Mozilla/Chrome/packages/aim/sidebar panel.xul cannot be found. (AIM, meaning Aol instant messenger).

    Thanks much.
