help me please.. I am at the end of my tether :(

I must of posted this on every tech forum I can find, with little or 0 response from anyone.

well here goes

I need some help with my computer and the program direct connect.

I love the program.. It seems to have all the music and movies I like and I like its interface.

That was untill a few days ago before it totally stopped working

Can someone please see if they know why

[disclaimer - can everyone not let this turn into whether dl'ing music from the web is moral or not I need some help here!]

ok what happens is I start my computer up and after I try and load up direct connect it scans my shared files and then does nothing.. Anyway about 3-4 mins later it will pop up. Then the first thing you try and click on it starts not to respond. it does this for another 3-4 minutes then comes back again so basically it is unusable.

I am using windows xp (it used to work just fine on it) and heres some pics to show you what happens to my cpu usage when it is not responding

I also included the error report and as much stuff as I could.

also heres what it said the error report might contain.

btw the event id is 1001 or 1002 (error message)

 

hi... I want to ask you... have you changed any security settings ... script or javascript?
What about changes or additions of a firewall, popup stopper,or anything to do w/ java or proxy or firewall???

hmhm this is direct connect the file sharing program..

i am about to give up not one person seems to know anything on this problem
