I have a 19 inch LCD monitor ( just the monitor without a PC ) and I would like to connect it to my cable box and use it as a TV. I have looked around the internet and can't seem to locate a cable that will make the connection. The monitor has a serial connection and the output from the cable box has HDMI, RCA and RG to choose from. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Jack

I guess I didn't explain the problem right. The only connection on the monitor is a serial connection. I need a cable that converts the HDMI, RCA or RG cable output on a cable box to the input serial connector on the monitor. Thanks again, Jack

Thanks a million. That gets me going in the right direction. Wife now is rethinking what we had planned. I'll let you know how the monitor works out, if we try it. Thanks again, Jack
