OK, are you sure, because a search for that come back to this.
    http://www.google.com/search?client...n&q=NORTON.360.EDGEISO.rar&btnG=Google+Search

All torrent versions of Norton. and .rar files are usually zipped files and when you buy a program on CD they don't come zipped.

There are good free AV's. If this is a pirated copy I suggest removing it and going with a free AV.

OK lets remove those files. This may render it unusable I'm not sure.

Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore "), please delete these files (if present):

    C:\Users\New User\Downloads\NORTON.360.EDGEISO.rar

    After that, Reboot.

Let me know if you still get the warning.

    Hi ajmal786
    I'm not sure I understand?

I have never heard of HJT giving that message before.

There is a removal tool to remove Norton, Please use it and download what ever AV you plan on using, run a complete scan with the new AV remove/delete anything it finds.

Here is the link to the tool.
Go here and run the Norton Removal Tool for the product version you have.

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

Then try HJT again and see if you can get a log.

    Hi ajmal786

Is McAfee finding the infection now also?

Some Norton left overs, so please do this.

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan only. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Symantec PIF AlertEng] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\PIF\{B8E1DD85-8582-4c61-B58F-2F227FCA9A08}\PIFSvc.exe" /a /m "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\PIF\{B8E1DD85-8582-4c61-B58F-2F227FCA9A08}\AlertEng.dll "
O23 - Service: LiveUpdate Notice Service Ex (LiveUpdate Notice Ex) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst.exe (file missing)

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked.

    Close HJT.

Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore "), please delete these folders (if present):

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared

    After that, Reboot.

Let me know if you stall are getting the warning.

    Thanks
    Geri
