    Hello...

    On my work AND home machines...every time I load an SD card in my HP PSC 1610 printer...to transfer digital photos to that computer via HP Director's 'Transfer Images' functionality...I get this;

    http://www.moonjams.com/CParsingError_HP.jpg

I normally just hit OK...at which time it either transfers for me...or I get a secondary warning of another sort...for which I also hit OK; & it transfers for me as well...

But it got to the point whereby it became very annoying...so after downloading/installing the latest HP Director driver...I contacted HP tech support to get it fixed.

First...they gave me an alternate method for photo transfer.

I e-mailed them back & said...no, no, no...you see...I actually would like to use your product for the task it was designed to do.

So they e-mailed me back & told me it was a problem w/ the operating system. This sounds like BS to me...but I figured I would inquire here where folks really know the nuts & bolts of XP.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

Is there a file C:\I386\config\machine.config on your computer?

If not, just create an empty file in that place & try again.

    Arie...

An empty file in what format? I can't just open up any old program...create a file...& rename the format to .config, correct?

    Thanks,

Use notepad. Save it as machine.config and place it in the folder mentioned;)

    well...

On my home machine...for some reason I don't even have a folder entitled 'i386'...but I noticed that when I downloaded the lastest .NET Framework (3) prior to getting SP3...that worked...it removed the C Parsing Error.

(&...as I said...I do intend to try the config file method on my work machine...tomorrow).

So now...on my home machine...I'm left w/ this:

Any ideas as to how & rid myself of this remaining script error ???

    Thanks again,
