    Hello everyone!

I've just received an e-mail from my mother stating that she is getting her e-mails (sent to my sister) returned as being undeliverable?! This has just started happening a few days ago and we haven't a clue as to why?

Here is a copy of what type of message she receives when sending her an e-mail:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at trueband.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

    <xxx@deskmedia.com>:
    199.199.151.58 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 553 your IP (216.163.120.8) is on our block list
    Giving up on 199.199.151.58.

She sends the same e-mails to both my sister and me (has our address in the same "to" line) and mine always come through just fine. She has sent the e-mails in this fashion for years!

Not sure why all of a sudden my sister can no longer receive them? I'm guessing it has something to do with the IP being on a block list??

My sister can send e-mails to my mother (and me) and we receive them okay, just mom can't seem to send anything to her! (Mine sent to my sister go through just fine as well).

Any ideas on what is happening here?

    Regards,
    Vicki

Yes - your Mother's ISP is being blocked by your Sister's ISP. This is an ISP thing and she will need to talk with them to find out why.

I have some friends in the rural midwest (is that redundant?) whose ISPs block domains like VERIZON.NET and EARTHLINK.NET. When my friends query their ISPs about it they are told something along the lines of "we got too many reports of SPAM coming to our subscribers from those domains, so we blocked them ". Morons.
