I am searching for something with IE5.5, Wme that works OKay otherwise.
But at one website I go through a series of links and when I click the last page in the chain, supposedly with unencoded HTML text (according to File>Properties), I get there in a sec, see the blue bar at the bottom to move quick, then "Done" pops up at the bottom left, its complete address is displayed on top, but the page is all blank.
I understand that something’s wrong with the page but maybe something can be done, like editing with the Notepad.

    brett,
There are so many different problems and fixes (under "blank pages ") that I am confused.
Could you please C+P the post you meant?
    TIA

Internet Explorer nor Microsoft Internet Explorer is in Control Panel>A+R Programs.
There is only one link that gives me blank HTML unencoded page.
In short, I doubt that Repair will help, anyway.
But why it’s not listed in ConPan?

    brett,
I do not like being a pest, but your link didn’t work, in any way (click, C+P…), seems to be misspelled.
In the meantime, I found an identical page through a different URL.

I think this will repair Brett's link and get you to the site page but I'm not sure how to find the rest of the link to narrow it down. I did see the following info there, perhaps it is relevant:

Outlook Express startup informational page is blank.

This can happen if you have turned off active scripting for internet zone on your computer in Internet Explorer, even if Outlook Express is set to use a different zone at Outlook Express, tools, options, security.

Go to Control Panel, Internet Options, Security. Select internet security zone. Select custom level and then turn on active scripting.

If this does not resolve your problem (make sure you reboot) then I would suggest you update your scripting engine at www.microsoft.com/msdownload/vbscript/scripting.asp

Sorry, Yurka, this is the link which I had intended to post. However, having re-read your question, I realise that it's not relevant (on the first reading I just focused on the words "blank pages "). Sorry!

You are absolutely right, brett. I found the info I hoped to get from that page, and, AFAIAC, it may remain blank for years to come.
