I resolved several small issues with start up sequence with windows. But I continue to get this particular one Windows cannot find file try searching again: C:\windows\system32\printer.exe. So if I close this box I get windows to shut off to a blue screen and dump it's memory, and refer to a hardware issue, is it installed correctly, or remove it and start up again. If I simply slide the window out of the way the computer stays on. I removed the printers on my computer, and the same message appears. Any suggestions on removing this from when windows starts up after clicking on user name and windows loads it's settings, many thanks.......:D

    Hello daddyp979,
    http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=system32\printer.exe&ei=UTF-8&fr=moz2
How sure are you that this is printer related? Printer.exe when viral in nature replaces windows shell Explorer.exe. May I suggest you pay a visit to our virus and malware forum, read stickies at the top of forum and follow directions to post on the forum for help. Can't hurt to eliminate this as possibility before trying to solve your bootup peoblem which may only make clearing this up more difficult.
