 Read that the following settings should be set to provide better security:
    OE/Tools/Options/Security/ Select restricted zone.....

Now I have just read that Internet Zone as opposed to Restricted Zones should be selected.

Which should I use??? Have it set to Restricted Zones , but it formerly was set to InternetZone........so far have not been denied access to any sites. Will appreciate any answers.

The information in the articles to which Alice has linked is a tad outdated if you are using OE6 (in which Active Scripting is disabled by default). For current information, see here.

    Hi June,

You're very welcome. I'm glad to see that you are concerned about OE security.

Since your signature listed Internet Explorer 5.5 sp2 I assumed you were running Outlook Express 5 since it's part of a typical installation - to check, open Outlook Express and click "Help, then select "About Microsoft Outlook Express ".

When I check, it shows Outlook Express 5, version 5.50.4807.1700.
