windows xp takes 72 sec to boot

    Hi,

    I work on Windows Xp Sp3 lately my boot time has increased to 72 sec.
    I defragmeted hard disk with o&O defrag professional but still there is no improvement.Pls help me.

    So that it is in perspective, what WAS your boot time?

    And, was this on SP2 and then you installed SP3 and THEN the boot time increased?

    72 Seconds sounds fast to me..

    Did you make ANY type of changes?
    Add ANY type of USB device or add the pc to a network?
