    Hello,

I am running XP Pro SP3 in a domain. I have a few folders on my desktop of pictures that I would like to delete. No matter what I do, I run into the same error. It goes something like this:

Error when 0x00dc3335f references 0x000000. Memory could not be written, press OK to restart or Cancel to debug.

Cancel does not do a thing. I get this error on the desktop, in windows explorer. I tried booting in Safe Mode with Networking, still could not delete it. I tried deleting in DOS but it has been years since I did anything like that - perhaps I did it wrong. Does anyone have any ideas?

I just remembered. A couple of days ago I installed a program called CopyRite. It is a GUI shell that sits on top of robocopy XP026. When I installed CopyRite I needed to install some "dependent files" which were ActiveX files. I seem to recall these went in the System32 folder. I am trying to get the exact names and locations, but every time I click on something the same error pops up. I may try a System Restore to see if that helps.

    Solved

I seemed to have solved the problem by doing a System Restore to the point I created right before I installed this new software. I will let you know if it comes back.
