I think it would have been a lot handier ..... and much safer to have done that the way mflynn told you . Hope it's fixed now and you didn't do any harm.

    mickzer.

    Yea with apprehension!

Sure wish you had shared what the value for that hkey was as suggested
I was really curious. Darn it!

I'm sure myflynn was right all along and lavasoft was the root, based on recent past history and the problem you've had with a Dell restore and an older restore point. It's not out of the question that you may have had registry pointers that were old.

Thank you for the update, at least we know you are no longer annoyed by this.

    To myflynn:
"A bull in a china shop ", I was wondering why you weren't pushing for the more direct route of the registry. I thought I had the patience of a saint but I bow to you, or curtsy as in my case.

On boot up this morning was astonished to see that message again. I ran your auto run and found Diskkeeper 2008. Followed you instructions rebooted and message did not appear. Anxious to see if it reappears tomorrow at boot up.

    Oh man!

I thought this ordeal was over!

OK we were dealing with IsDelete not Disk Keeper.

Previously you mentioned it, and I said that after fixing the IsDelete that if there was an issue with Disk keeper or AutoCheck it would show up. Well here it is!

    Now my questions:

Do you still have Disk keeper installed?

Did the error you saw this morning refer to Disk Keeper or AutoCheck?

Is it working properly if so?

Diskkeeper. I do not have it installed any longer. On boot up this AM everything was fine. No message. Will advise again tomorrow as to status. But I hope this problem is now fixed.

    TIA

OK good if you do not have Diskkeeper installed and you removed the run entry in AutoRuns it is gone!
