What I would like to do is to have XP place shortcuts (to another folder, if not all shortcuts) immediately below/next to folders themselves, when I click on View>Arrange Icons by>Type. WHen I do this, XP places shortcuts at the bottom, where it won't be likely to be seen by me. Is there any way I can go into XP's innards and have it place shortcuts immediately after folders? See the following screenshot for what I have now:

What I would like to do is to get the shortcut to the Reconstruction folder just after the folder that says WWII. Can this be done?

You can rename the shortcut to WWIIa or WWIIrecon and then re-set to arrange the order by "Name. "

That would definitely work--I'd only need to do this for a few folders--barring a more "hi-tech" solution. Thanks.
