Modem sound when dialing???

    When using my modem to dial into the internet I have no sounds as when using Windows ME. Is there any way to turn the dialing sound on in WinXP? Thanks

    Settings--> Control Panel--> Phone and Modem Options--> Modems--> Properties--> Modem. Adjust the volume.
    You may need to do the same in Start--> Programs--> Accessories--> Communications--> Network Connections. Right-click your connection, Properties. Click Configure and check "Enable Modem Speaker ".
