    I have visited this page:

    http://infodine.yourniagara.ca/InfoDine.aspx

before, using the .14 version of Mozilla and it worked fine, but not with the 3 version.

If you go there, click the disclaimer to enter the main page. Select a Municipality, then click the search button.

Several establishments appear. When you click on one of them or the 'Dates Inspected', you will see a message appear at the bottom under: Compliance category.

There is text in there, but with version 3, I cannot see it. I can if I left-click and highlight it.

I've tried all the different settings regarding fonts and backgrounds. It looks like their code wants a dark blue background in those info boxes with white text. The dark blue doesn't load.

If I change the setting under "allow pages to choose, etc. " in Mozilla, it does become visible, but all other websites are loaded incorrectly.

    Any suggestions?

BTW...I unloaded the old Mozilla .14 version completely, including all subfolders and prefs, profiles, etc. located throughout the computer. This is a 'clean' install.

The text is visible when viewing with IE, but I do not use that browser.

    Welcome to the Forum, melh!

    melh,

I too am unable to view the inspection detail, other than a left click, and highlight. I find this problem with Firefox 2.0.0.15, and 3.0. The detail is viewable in SeaMonkey 1.1.10?

The page is created in JavaScript, and I am illiterate when it comes to authoring a web page using JavaScript.

You can install the IE Tab Add-on which will allow you to toggle to Internet Explorer, without actually leaving Firefox. I had no problems with the page in question when activating the IE Tab. The add-on can be found here:

It IS viewable in version .14

The page showed correctly in version .14 but not in the new version 3.
I haven't tried version .15 and frankly, don't even understand why that version was released, since the 3 version was already out.

Thanks for the advise, Ramona, but I just offered this one site as an example and can work around it.

    Bill,

I got the same thing on some of the listings, but only if there were no irregularities. Those listings with irregularities could only be viewed by mouse over... I wish I were smarter and knew why!
