I just noticed a few days ago that when I pass my mouse curser over a list of messages, I get this maddening popup previewing the message. How can I turn it off?

    You can't.

I know, it drives me nuts too, but there are others that like it

Yes, that's an option for Contributing Members.

Yes, some of us really love the pop-up, but maybe you could make it a user option, if possible.

A few years ago that was a possibility using a hack. But after a code change, it is no longer an option. I'd like to make it an option, but it's just not possible.

    shrink the area

i normaly place my cursor in a blank space while scrolling and reading, but the pop up still finds a way of getting in the way of what i want to read, can you limit the pop up area to just the title, it is after all very helpful. it just pops up at the wrong time

Unfortunately this can't be done. That's why I hate it.
