    hey dear experts,

    i've been experiencing trojan attacks in the last couple of weeks. it started with the execution of a viral exe file, fake virus alerts and anti-virus program ads started popping up, pop-ups (like a recent threat mentioned, in german) and battleknight;

apart from downloader and cydoor, norton detected a trojan, which i tried removing following the norton antivirus instructions. i am not sure i have managed to clean and recover the registry entries, but in normal mode, search engines and a number of other sites don't work. i tried using combofix, but it did not work. on subsequent days, downloader and cydoor reappeared, including a different trojan which norton seems to have cleaned, all security measures were disabled, windows update is disabled. upon restarting internet explorer or firefox, i need to clean cookies and temporary files to be able to browse at all, the browser security settings always restart to minimum/disabled upon startup. which probably makes my computer extremely vulnerable.

two more trojans were detected today, and more spyware. infostealer (win28.exe), which norton marks as deleted; trojan.vundo (uluhrvcq.dll) and trojan.brojack (788877.dll.vir). when i tried following norton's instructions to remove the viruses, all administrator functions had been blocked, including in safe mode.

This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer.

It's somewhat dispairing since I am supposed to be writing silly university papers on code structures, on this incredibly rotten machine, and wage a war against some viral codes at the same time.

Please help me restore this baby! Thank you!

    Sonya

    Welcome to WindowsBBS livelulas :)

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBAM) from here or here and save the file to your desktop.

Double click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
    • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    • Once the program has loaded, select 'Perform Quick Scan', then click Scan.
    • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
    • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note below)
    • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
    • Post the entire report in your next reply.

Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Next, download Deckard's System Scanner (dss.exe) and save it to your desktop.
    • Close all applications and windows.
    • Double click on dss.exe to run it and follow the prompts.
    • When the scan is complete, two text files will open; main.txt, which will be maximized and extra.txt, which will be minimized.
Post the contents of main.txt only for now.
