Windows XP updates and browser problems

    I have a question about firewall protection. I recently did some updates for windows security center (and one for Adobe reader at the same time). Now I can't get my browser to load pages at all. I keep receiving the "server not found" from both IE and Mozilla. I imagine it must have to do with the microsoft firewall updates I ran, because it started then.
