Need info on setting up a VPN

I have enough knowledge to set up a LAN and troubleshoot shared resources, etc.; but, that's about as far as my networking experience takes me. I now want to set up a VPN.

This will be for consumer grade systems running Windows 2000/XP/Vista, no server editions.

Are there any internet resources that will tell me what I need and how to set it up?

And if you're not a great fan of Linksys routers, other manufacturers have similar information.

For example:

Netgear have an example of how to set up one of their VPN routers to connect to a SonicWall device, so documentation on setting up two different types of devices in one document!

Draytek have a whole FAQ section dedicated to VPN.
