    Just trying to get an internet connection with USB adapter,
    Loaded drivers but can't connect yet

    That wireless? Do you have wireless encryption enabled on the router? If you search for available networks, is your router found?

    Have to get a couple things done, so I'll be offline for a couple of hours.

    Excellent! 2nd thing - after installation and reboot, install Antivirus and Firewall! ;)

    SP3 installed
    AVG 8.0 installed
    XP firewall on (may install zonealarm tomorrow)

    Off to bed, 2.30am

    Luckily not at work till 1.00pm tomorrow!
