Not having had much to do with SATA drives I would like to know if it is possible to install a PCI SATA / IDE Controller (including drivers) onto a Motherboard that has no SATA connectors to connect a Pioneer 215 BK Sata DVD
    Burner.
I don't know if this works sortof like your USB2 PCI card.

As far as I know that is why there are such things as PCI *.* card. Giving you the ability to upgrade to another kind of interface. Well that and adding RAID or more to a computer than what came on the motherboard. Now it will limit the speed down some, but shouldn't be that noticeable.

Google for Serial ATA PCI Card for plenty of options in your area.
