laptop doesn't charge when its on

    the laptop im trying to figure out doesn't charge when its on...only charges when its off...does any1 have an idea to why this laptop does this...thank you for your help...

    I am not a laptop person :) I have worked on a few though.

    Could it be charging, although it does not actually say "Charging "? When you are running the system, it may take power away from charging the battery.

    You might have power-hungry hardware running when the system is running...that are (obviously) disabled when the system is "off ".
