I have new computer with Win XP. I have always been dependent on the time display in the taskbar (now notification area) to check the date by just pointing the cursor to the time. Pointing the cursor also displays the name of the programs running and with Outlook Express even identifies which identity is running.

I can't get this feature to work in XP. It did it a couple of times, but I have tried pointins the cursor everywhere and it just doesn't work.

I tried unlocking the taskbar. That didn't help.

    Thanks

    Hi Zanetti,

Can't help you with the regular Windows clock, but I can offer a suggestion ... download and install Dale Nurden's TClockEx, the clock that the Gnomes in Redmond should have built into Windows.

You can configure it almost anyway you want (mine shows day, date, and military time), and it includes a great little calendar. Give it a try ... you won't be sorry (but be sure to read Dale's note on use with XP).

    Jim

Thank you for your reply. It seems to be working now, but slow.

I had a slow clock problem and installed a free utility called Rocket Time. If you do a search on this BBS with search word Rocket Time you will find a link. It works real well and it also provides a log of the corrections, etc.
