Ok, it seems like I have a really bad problem. When I close out my applications, they still show up in Task Manager under "Processes." And there are many instances of the .exe. I keep having to go down through the list ending processes. Seems I'm on the brink of a system crash.

FYI - every day I am using Norton 360, running Adware and Registry Mechanic to keep things running smoothly.

It depends for how long they stay there.
With some applications, closing them doesn't kill the process right away. It may take few more moments.
    Can you provide some examples?

They stay in Processes until I end them and/or reboot. If I open an application several times (and close several times), there will be multiple instances of the process. Like dreamweaver.exe listed 3 times.

    Before going further?

Is this 1 or 2 specific programs like Dreamweaver or everything like IE or Microsoft word?

    What programs do this!

After further observance, it seems to be most all Adobe programs and other non-microsoft software (like Corel). Does NOT seem to happen with MS Office applications. Should I switch over to an ADOBE forum for this issue?
