    Is there a way to remove the " Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" from the Bookmarks menu?

    I don't use it and it just gets in the way.

    Thanks

    Hi Joe,

    You can't remove it, but you can hide it, which is essentially the same thing. :)

    In your FF profile folder, open the chrome folder, then open the userChrome.css file in NotePad, or any other text editor.

    Add the following:
    /* Hide the "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" folder inside bookmarks menu */
    menu[label= "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder"] { display: none !important; }
    When you re-open FF, the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder should be gone.

    HTH

    You CAN remove it. Bookmarks Menu > Organize Bookmarks... > select any other folder > Edit Menu "set as bookmarks toolbar folder ". You may then delete the original. You can also delete the separators.

    Tony ...

    What I should have said, in lieu of the first line in my post, was "There's no way to remove the Bookmarks Toolbar, but you can remove "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" from the Bookmarks menu. "

    As the man said, "There's more than one way to skin a cat ". Your solution does, indeed, remove "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" from The Bookmarks menu, but what troubles me is that you've merely substituted another folder in the Bookmarks menu for the Toolbar folder.

    If you then open the View > Toolbars menu and check "Bookmarks Toolbar ", the Toolbar will appear, displaying all the bookmarks in the substituted folder. I don't find that to be particularly desirable, even though I don't normally display the Bookmarks Toolbar.

    Using the solution I posted, the "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" line is removed from the menu, and if the Toolbar is displayed it's completely blank.
