Programs and exes + 'Open With' prompt

    Hey guys,

    I am getting the same error message, but I can't install any software! Everything I double click on to run, install, or Start-Run-Browse-.exe brings up the "Open with" dialogue, even in SAFE MODE! How can I install anything?

    Welcome to WindowsBBS Curiousemail :)

    Highlight and copy the bolded text below.

    assoc.exe=exefile
    exit
    cls



    Click Start>Run and type command.com then hit Enter. A command window should open.
    Right click in the command window and Paste the text.
    The window should close.
    Now, click Start>Run and type cmd.exe then hit enter.
    Let me know if a command window opens.
