Solved IE keeps popping up

    Delete the Cain & Able setup file

    C:\WINDOWS\ca_setup.exe

    Open your Norton antivirus interface and remove all items in quarantine.
    Empty the recycle bin.

    That should wrap things up. Provided you feel the machine is working properly, I'll mark this topic resolved.

    nothing except the clock is in military format

    Click Start>Run and type intl.cpl then hit Enter to open the Regional and Language options snap-in.
    On the Regional Options tab, click Customize
    Select the Time tab
    Select the time format you want then OK your way out.
