In going from v.2.0.0.14 to v3.0, should I copy the plugin folder from the first to some other location before I uninstall the first - then paste the plugins from the saved folder into the new plugin folder? Of course I would not copy the plugin that is generic to FF. Or do I have to download and install all the plugins again?

    Bob,

I have only the default plugin in my plugins folder, Firefox 3.0, and all my plugins are working: Media Player, Quick Time, Real Player, Flash, etc.

So, the answer is no to all your questions.

You will need to copy/paste the plugins folder, only, if you set up 3.0 as well as 2.0.0.14. I have both alive and kicking.

    Bob,

When you have Firefox 3.0 installed, in the Tools | Options | Applications setting, you will see your plugins listed adjacent to the file types the plugins support. You can still enter about:plugins in the Location Bar in order to see your plugins listed.

P.S. Yes, yes, and yes... ;)
