Ok, heres the deal guys, hope someone could help me out. When I have a few downloads going on IRC, seemingly only if they are of real hi speed, and I click through the boxes of each one repeatedly to check progress, I get a BSOD with the error that I posted in the title of this thread. I only get it while downloads are in progress it seems, and if I'm clicking through the boxes. Of course I could probably NOT click through the boxes checking status of downlaods and everything will "probably" be fine, but now that I know there's something wrong I just want to fix it, you know how it is, it's like if you spill something in your closet, you dont want to leave it there even tho you never go into your closet. Actually, I left IRC running last night with no downloads going at the time I went to bed, and woke up to the blue screen. So maybe it doesn't have anything to do with the downloads after all.

Soooo, does anyone have a clue what this error is all about?

hmm thanks, but I never got into IRQ's or anything to understant fully what they're talking about. The only thing I can think of is that maybe my ram could be bad? Or I need to update soundcard drivers? Hmm.. What would you reccommend?

thanks for the link, my luck it's probably a bad stick o' ram. I contacted crucial to see about an RMA on the stick.

Hmm well i downloaded a memory tester and ran it, and it passed all the tests ok, so i really don't think it's a bad stick.

I'm guessing possibly something to do with my linksys ethernet card? I noticed they really dont have any drivers for win xp on their site, just 2000 I believe, which I'm using now. Can you tell me (anyone) how to maye go ahead and check what is up with my IRQ's and see if theres any sharing going on, and how would I assign an IRQ manually to just one device?

Sorry. I didn't see that reference to the NIC earlier.
Yes, I think it may well be your card. Drivers that seem to work with this card, and are newer than Linksys, are discussed here:

This seems to be a fairly common problem when that card is under load.
