Everytime i try to open something other than internet explorer, spools.exe starts up and runs my processor up to 100% and the computer freezes untill i end the spools.exe process in the task manager. Also if when i start up my computer it takes forever to start up, and if i open task manager on startup, there are multiple spools.exe processes that take up my processor. Now i deleted the spools.exe file but then nothing but internet explorer will open up. I can still restore the spools file from the recycling bin but that wont fix my problem. Does anyone have an idea of what i might be able to do to solve this problem?

    Welcome to WindowsBBS Benjo :)

Download ComboFix by sUBs from here, saving the file to your desktop.

Please disable realtime protection applications as they sometimes interfere with the tool. Check this link for your applicable programs.

    • Close all open programs and windows
    • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
    • It may reboot your computer and resume running when you logon. Wait for it to complete. When finished, it will open a log for you. Post that log and a new HijackThis log in your next reply.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall
