First post here, Hello WindowsBBS Users and Admins. I wanted to get some others ideas on this issue I'm having. I'm currently running XP pro Sp3 with all the latest updates. About 1 week ago, I went to newegg.com to purchase a part, when I went to add this item to my shopping cart, newegg.com shows a page that says, "Your shopping cart is empty" "If you feel you have reached this in an error, please click here" The click here links brings up the classic, Clear all your internet cookies and temp files stuff. So at this point I figured ok lets try that. I open the new IE7 Internet Options window and delete all cookies, temp files, templates, etc. I return to the site still not able to add items to the shopping cart. Hmmm. So then I try out the new IE7 restore all settings feature. It runs and restores all setting back to default, including the intro first site setup page thingy. Try to check out again(and yes after restarting and opening new instances of IE7), and i get the same problem. Figuring it could be something with my sygate firewall prog or maybe Avast AntiVirus, so I disable both with no successful result. I then proceed to downloading the whole IE7 install package to completely wipe the slate clean. The reinstall goes by with no problems, a restart, and still no Checkout Cart. Other websites that don't use cookie carts works fine. Also, cookies are coming through to me and are showing up in the cookie folder. I have also ran Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D with only cookies being the things that they both found. I have yet to try "hijack this." Instead I downloaded Mozilla Firefox, just to see. AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW? IT WORKS. So what is the hangup with IE7? Any ideas? I would prefer not to have to reinstall xp as this install is only a year old. ????????????
