There is a lot of confusion over how long Microsoft will contimue to support Windows XP and whether Microsoft will continue to offer updates to Windows XP. Does anyone know what is the latest news with regard to this matter? Thank you very much. abm

Question: Does it really matter how long they support XP if you have a version that works well for you?
Personally, I think it's the best program MS has ever put out.
Bold statement I realise, but I used to be a beta tester for them, have used most of their single user OS's and this one is by far the best.
Vista is just a pretty sister to XP w/ a few bells and whistles that for me really don't get my attention, and at worst are downright annoying, if not problematic.
I see Vista as just another marketing tool for MS to bring in some bucks.
There are little to no improvements over XP, which is the most stable OS that's come out of Redmond to date.

You can search www.microsoft.com for "Product Lifecycle" and see all known info on the subject.
