I am close to having to do a compelete Vista install so praying someone has a novle idea. I have tlaked with guys in another ofrum and even an online pc support company that spend 4 hours connected to my pc and no one has an answer.

The problem is that suddenly web pages do not display fulyl in IE7 e.g. some of my oggogle wondows load, buttons aren't active etc. However it is not restricted to IE7. I use microsoft money and allt he view that involve laoding live data form the internet apepar in tiny scrollable windows instead of full screen. My Dell Support app that alerts to updates by making a web conenction opens blank. Firefox and Safari work no problem at all.

Things that have been tried and failed:
Starting in safe mode with networking
    Installing IE8
Resetting all IE7 Security and Advance tab settings to defaults
    Removing recent windows updates
    Reinstallaing Java 6 and flashplayer
Uninstalling Steganos AV (last program installed)
Ran anti-spyware, malware and hijackthis with nothing found
    Safe Mode repair function

I desperately don't wantot have to reinstall Vista as it will take me a month to get everything working again. I have a horrible feeling smething Javascript related is corrupted, but don't understand why it is affecting IE7 and Microsoft Money.

Grateful if anyone can save me from my impending doom!!

P.S. I have a second identical PC that run almost identical software so is there a cheat to copy files from that instead of doing a reinstall?

Have you thought of doing a System Restore to a point prior to the problem first appearing?

Also, did you try IE's Reset functionality? From IE Tools > Advanced tab.

Sadly all my restore points seem to have got wiped which isn't helpful. No idea what wiped them.

Yes I used the reset button when I said return to default.

You've said you installed IE8. Did you actually mean that? IE8 has problems with quite a few web pages which is hardly surprising as it's only Beta 1.

After trying everything else as hoped it might overwrite what ever is corrupted. Uninstalled it again after it made no difference. Such a pity you can't uninstall IE7 from Vista
