I am using Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager update. I have multiple accounts and have not previously had any problems. I have just created two new accounts in exactly the same way as the others and am having problems with them.

When I send an email through either of the two new accounts, the local copy of the email is given the 'From' address of my default account. The copy of the email which arrives at the destination address has the correct details and the 'Rules and Alerts' all behave properly, so the message is obviously being sent by the correct account.

Has anybody experienced this and/or have any idea how it can be fixed?

    Thanks

    Ian

When you edit an account and look in the section: User Information

What do you have in the E-mail Address field?

And if you click on the Advanced button, what do you have for the Replay E-mail?

Both fields are set okay. Even if I leave the 'reply to' field blank the message that reaches the other end has the correct 'from' address. It is only the local copy which is being affected.

When you create a New Mail message, you should see an "accounts" button. Are you clicking on that and selecting one of your new accounts?

Yes. As I said, the rules are being applied fine and the message which arrives at the other end shows the correct 'from' address, so the account is being correctly applied. It is just the local copy of the message which is wrong.
