    Ok, here is the deal:

The user was in internet explorer and then IE crashed. After they closed Ie, the system crashed and rebooted on its own. The user said after the reboot, the system was really slow.

The system has only crashed once, But if it is bad ram, i will just swap it out. What do you guys make of this DMP?

    Thanks.

    Bearing in mind ....
    My observation .....
Usual recommendation is to swap the memory modules around the slots - run with one if more than one stick installed and swap it around the slots. Then run in pairs swapping slots. Can be longwinded.

Suggest you set the computer not to automatically restart on System Failure and ask user to note the error code.

    yes

i have unchecked the box to disable the restart. I dont know why windows thinks that is a good idea to select that box by default.

I will try to swap the memory and we will see what happens. If anyone has further input, it will be appreciated. Thanks.

    Probably a bad driver.

Fire up driver verifier by going start>run>verifier.exe

    1. Create Custom Settings
    2. Select individual settings from list
    3. Check Special Pool
    4. Select drivers from a list
    5. Click the provider heading to sort
    6. Check everything that doesn't have Microsoft as the provider
    7. Finish & reboot

Next time the box crashes, upload the dumps. Driver verifier adds a bunch of checks to help us identify the culprit.
