I have a Microsoft Word 2003 document that was opend and modified. When prompted to save, the user did not say "yes" but choose "no ". The PC has not been rebooted since.

Is it possible to find this document with the modifications? Would a document recovery program work?

If word has been closed, I doubt you'll be able to retrieve the lost modifications.

If Autosave has been enabled, there may be a chance, but I doubt it.
If word is still open, you might be able to locate the ~.tmp file in the same folder where the document lives.

Thanks for the directions. I forwarded your instructions and the user has changed their options.

I was able to find the document with ~, but none after that.
