Mine is new PC and the conf is
    IntelCore2 duo 8200, Biostar T7 mobo, with XFX 8800Gt, and 1GBX 2 transient ram.
i have the some problem with my PC, it restarts automatically when i start it. and i could see the XP screen after opening it the safe mode and restarting it again. Later i UNCHECKED the "automatic restart" checkbox in the setting of Startup and recovery, but after that, i am NOT getting any blue screen with the error. Its just a black screen and my system doesn't even restart. I need to start it manually. Can any one tell me whats the problem?? please help......

Hi and welcome to the BBS,

What is the last screen you see before the blank screen? Has the Windows loading screen appeared?

When you say "manually" start it, do you use the main power button, shut down and press it again or do you use a reset button?

    Matt

See i you can start in Safe Mode. To start in Safe Mode, press F8 after yo re-boot your PC.

Next check Event Viewer for error messages.

To open Event Viewer, go to Start > Run and type eventvwr.msc, click OK.

Check your Application and System logs for errors.

You can double click on any error for more details, and there is also a button to copy the error to your clipboard for easy copying & pasting.

That's a Group Policy error (see this TechNet article).

Is this on a Domain (company network)?
