I am running Windows XP Home with 2.5 gig of ram. What is a good size for the paging file? I can't remember how to figure this out. Thanks.

General rule of thumb - fixed size equal to 1.5x installed RAM, so 3.75 Gb

Just let XP manage the page file size, it should set it automatically.

A fixed size pagefile prevents the file fragmenting and it is particularly important if Photoshop's scratch disk is on the same drive.
