Whenever I go to my IP from any computer, I get my router's login page. I forwarded port 80, 443, and 8080. I can tell they're forwarded properly because if they weren't forwarded, I wouldn't be getting anything at all. I'm also running abyss and if i go to 127.0.0.1, I see my files perfectly. Anything I can do for the router page?

How bout tell us the brand and model of the router.

    The issue you are having.

The program and port you want forwarded.

Also I will add that a lot of routers use 8080 as an external config avenue so you will need to disable WAN configuration access on your router.

    Hope that made sense. :)

I changed my server to port 8080, and i'm using an ActionTec MI-424-WR. And what do you mean by disabling WAN configuration access?

Hang on a second. Why are you port forwarding?

You do not need to port forward to access the internet from inside your network. You also do not need to port forward to access other computers within your network.

Port forwarding opens up holes in your network security and therefore should only be used sparingly and when you have a good reason to do so. Certainly allowing external access to your file system via port forwarding is a serious security hole and I would strongly advise that you do not do it!

What are you trying to achieve by enabling port forwarding?

You're right, access to files threw me.

I think we need details of the router. There should be a setting to make the router's admin interface only accessible via it's internal interface. That setting will be in different places on different routers. So make and model of router please.

I already posted it, it's an Actiontec MI-424-WR

All remote access on my router has already been blocked.

EDIT: I have just found out that my ISP hates it when people are smarter than them, and I'd prefer not to compete with a company that can take away my internet. I'll just use hamachi =P.
