I was just wondering if windows xp has a log of activity. here's what happened: I transferred some files onto my flash drive, now I can't find the flash drive, anyway, the files have been on there for a while so I don't remember if I deleted them off the drive. Is there a log or another way that I can look up to see if I deleted the files off?

    Hi lcsaeteurn

    Welcome to the BBS!

It is probably taking the same drive letter as a CD or network drive.

Is the remove hardware icon in the system tray (bottom right)?

If so click it up and put a check in lower left "Show device components ".

Let me know if it has a drive letter!

the drive letter was N:, and the software on the flash drive did appear on the system tray when I still had the drive, but now that the flash drive is lost/no longer in my posession physically, I just wanted to know if there is a way to find out whether I deleted the info that was on there before I lost it.

Doubt you'll find anything...But, right click on My Computer->Manage->EVEN VIEWER might/maybe/doubtfully show you something.

He would like to see an event type log that says: "Files on Flash Drive deleted on such n such date." He knows he can't look on the drive.

    Nothing funny about it.
