what is necessary in msconfig

I don't want unnecessary programs to start at boot up but it is often impossible to find what the abbreviations stand for.

 

To add to PeteC’s reply, the program Startups.exe contains a list of programs that are either needed at startup, not needed at startup, optional at startup or contain malware, download it here http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_content.php
