Shutdown Problem

    sir,

    i have brought new laptop acer aspire 5920 with 1 gb ram, core2 duo processor. i have installed Xp professional with SP2. My system works properly but when shutdowns it it shows the message "system is shutting down" and then it hangs. i have updated the laptop. please help me for this problem.

    See if it hangs in Safe Mode. If not, it's probably some program you are running that is failing to close and hanging the system.

    You can troubleshoot that problem by disabling the startup programs in a logical manner and rebooting to see if it affects the problem. You can do that by running msconfig from the Start window and clicking the Startup tab. Then uncheck half of them and test.....etc.

    sir,
    i m very thankful. there is some problem in my cam drivers . when i uninstalled my problem solved. i downloaded new drivers from internet and installed and now my laptop is working fine. thanks once again.
